Together With Lived Experience.
Help and Understanding for Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Depression
Welcome
Welcome to a space for real conversations, understanding, and connection.
Peer support is about walking alongside someone through life’s challenges, offering empathy, encouragement, and practical ideas drawn from lived experience. It’s a place where you can be heard without judgment and supported by someone who truly understands the ups and downs of mental health.
Peer Counselling Services
Peer support sessions are one-on-one conversations rooted in empathy, trust, and shared understanding. Together, we’ll talk through what’s on your mind, explore practical coping tools, and create space for you to feel heard and supported. Every session is guided by your needs — whether that’s working through challenges, finding fresh perspective, or simply having someone to listen.
About John
John brings a unique perspective to mental health support, grounded in both lived experience and years of professional and personal growth. He’s navigated his own journey with anxiety and depression, and understands firsthand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. Through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), self-reflection, and trial-and-error with different coping strategies, he’s learned what truly helps — and what doesn’t.
Over time, he’s found ways to manage panic and depression, and is passionate about supporting others as they find their own way forward. His experience as a caregiver to a loved one with mental illness has given him deep insight into the complexities of mental health — from both sides of the experience.
He’s also spent over 30 years as a business owner, and he’s proud to be a husband, father and grandfather. Through all of life’s ups and downs, he’s learned the value of compassion, honesty, and connection — values he brings into every peer support conversation.
